Eligibility

Education : Graduate / Diploma in Nursing,

Experience : Min 2 to 3 yrs

  1. Understand, and ensure the implementation of, the Medical Facility’s Health and Safety policy, and Emergency and Fire procedures.
  2. Report to the Home Manager, or the Maintenance Operative, any faulty appliances, damaged furniture, equipment or any potential hazard.
  3. Promote safe working practice within the Medical Facility.
  4. Provide high levels of case to ensure that Residents are supported / assisted when required, with washing, toilet, dressing, undressing, and all other aspects of daily living.
  5. Assist Residents in all aspects of their care needs; e.g. physical, emotional and spiritual. Provide when needed Wishlist ensuring Residents retain their comfort and dignity.
  6. Pay particular attention to assisting Residents who have limited mobility or physical/ learning difficulties making the best use of aids provided.
  7. Closely monitor any confused and/or behavioral problems Residents.
  8. Assist in promoting confidence.
  9. Observe care planning needs for Residents and complete written daily records as instructed and in line with Medical Facility Policies and procedures. Report on any areas of concern for the Resident’s well-being to the appropriate member of staff without delay.
  10. Assist in the framework of social activities by interacting with the residents helping team to continue with hobbies and activities within the Medical Home.
  11. Report under the guidance of Senior Care Staff the well-being of the Residents
  12. Receive Visitors. Refreshments / assistance to be provided when required
  13. Making and changing beds, rooms always clean and tidy, commodes always emptied.

General:

  1. Promote and ensure the good reputation of the Medical Home.
  2. Ensure that all information of confidential nature gained in the course of duty is not divulged to third parties.
  3. Notify the Home Manager, or the Person in Charge, as soon as possible of your inability to report for duty, and also on your return to work from all periods of absence.
  4. Attend Staff and Resident meetings as and when required.

Training & Development:

  1. Maintain professional knowledge and competence.
  2. Attend mandatory training days/courses, on or off site, as and when required.
  3. Participate in relevant external training to achieve required qualifications.

Health & Safety:

  1. Report immediately to the Home Manager, or Person in Charge, any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a Resident, colleague, self or another.
  2. Attend Staff and Resident meetings as and when required.
